Couponing-Finding Coupons in Newspaper

There is many ways to gather up your coupons.  I will be telling you a few of the ways that I know and I have used to receive coupons.
The First thing to know is that is to know when your inserts come out through the 2013 Insert Schedule.
This will not only save you time, but also tell you when to buy inserts.  Weekly I will post a tentative preview of what the coupons will be on the blog.


Weekend Newspapers are big way to get your coupons.
The picture above shows you what some of the inserts look like that you may receive.

There is 3 main types of inserts that you will receive through the month
P&G

• once a month, maybe one mid month
• products-tide, covergirl, bounty, mr. clean

RedPlum

• There is one regular redplum and then you will find one that says ER which is extended reach redplum which is a smaller package of coupons.
• usually receive one every 2 weeks
• products-knorr, loreal

Smartsource

• one to two every week
• Huggies, gum, kellogg;s

Other inserts that you might find in your paper

• General Mills-cheerios, pillsbury

Also if you unfold your insert right in the middle you will find the date of the insert and the type of insert it is...the arrow is where you will find it. This will make it easier if you do a filing system or just finding your coupons for sales.

Important to note not every newspaper subscribes to the same set of inserts, even within the same city. This means one paper may have different coupons or values then the other paper.

Tip-How many papers to buy....I would recommend 1 paper person in your household.

How do You get papers

• Buy the paper on the weekend
• Call your local newspaper and buy inserts directly from them. 
• Check your local public areas-restaurants, hotels, hospitals, etc. 
• Collect from you neighbors great way to get to know your neighbors. 
• Collect from family or friends.
• Start a coupon train or exchange group
