I love binder pencil carriers though I DESPISE not being able to see what I have in one of those bags. So I created a see through window in our pencil bags and I say it does look quite fabulous. My daughter already has claimed the blue one.
To make your own you will need the following items which most of these items can be found at the Dollar Tree:
- 1-glue gun
- 1-exact knife
- 1-mat to cut on that will fit inside your bag (heavy cardboard or plastic cutting mat)
- 1-loot bags (found in party aisle of $ store)
- 1-pencil bag
- 1-decorative tape (I used washi tape though you can use any tape)
1st step: slide your mat inside your pencil bag then take your knife and cut a rectangle.
2nd step: take your loot bag cut down the side and then cut a rectangle about 1/4in bigger then your hole.
3rd step: once your loot bag is cut, place the cut piece inside your pencil bag, then take your glue gun and very gently run a bead of glue around the edge. It should look like the picture below. I placed some items into the bag already for show.
The last step to do is take your decorative tape and go around the outside edge of your window on your bag. This will secure the cut flap down and your plastic as well.
