A Tube of Toothpaste

It is ironic how life can throw us a curve ball and in the most suttle way a profound moment hits you. We have had all sorts of cruve balls thrown at us this past year cutbacks with jobs, finishing renovations, death of those closes to us, feuding families though in the midst of everything and the countless times on our knees praying, blessings have come down.

Countless times I found peace in the most strangest way.  This morning, yes it is 4am though where I seem to get the profound haha moments and comfort and while I am cleaning it is reminding me that I don't have to deal with the scum of life and that I am held in the arms of God scrub clean.

As I was cleaning the other day I found a toothpaste marked with names on it except my name, so grabbing the box with all the toothpaste on it I slapped a tag on it saying Mom's.  So who is control of all the toothpaste now.  Now I am sure you are thinking Where in the world are you going with this point.  As I was pondering the names on the toothpaste I thought like every individual tube of toothpaste with a name marked on it. It is a stamp of who you are, what burdens you are carrying and weighted down by life. Though what if I take that one tube and drop it in that bucket marked "mom" though this time mark it "God." Who is holding us now?  Who is carrying the weight? Shouldn't we release our individual self  to him and rely on him not just in the big things though the little every day things a broken dish, a bad attitude, etc.

If you think about this one, one lone little tube doesn't have much power though one bucket filled with many, who is submitted to God on their knees.  Can you imagine the power? What about in each of those individuals lives?  Who is carrying the burden now? If you are in that bucket and you submit yourself to the the throne of God, "Isn't God carrying you now?"  There shouldn't be worries or burdens wieghing you down, granted you are always going to get it you are human though if we submit it to God it should be easier to let it go and let him deal with it and carry us around.

Scripture states in
Matthew 6:31-33
So don't worry about these things, saying, 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
1 Peter 5:7
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

So by scripture we should be in that bucket trusting God not as an indivdual just laying around wondering and getting squished. Thinking about the bucket and if each individual is on their knees before God, "What blessings could happen?" What miracles can happen? What can happen in your own life?
