We love our local museum, k has their entire schedule written down and is excited to head over there. Last Thursday was their History Cafe, which they talked about Ancient People of the Plains. In the above picture shows a timeline and the progression of how over the years the arrowheads changed.
We also got to talk about their stone tools, grinding stones and beads, as well.
K's favorite item was this box of pottery shard's which had designs on them and the arrowheads, they also had lots of picture books and other information as well. Below k is holding the Bison Dual: Bandit and Baxter that will be floating around the museum this year pointing out their favorite exhibits. I would personally invite everyone to visit your local museum and discover what they have available.
For the Sterling Area, our local museum has a lot of informative fun activities going on. Next Month watch for Family Fun Day, Valentine/Present Day tea time, History Cafe and so much more. Also available to everyone is their information library with lots of information on the local area.
