God's Perfect Timing
We are having one of those weeks where miracles and crazy hits all at once and I keep praying that we are done for the year, but I think God is sitting up there in a rocking chair and just roaring with laughter at me for thinking that.
This is the reason why as you can see in this picture our puppy was really wanting to take his pan of food into the office where I was at, but as you can see it didn't make it very far at all. We have been cleaning up and sorting messes for several days and this was just the start of our mess that we had to sort out. This particular day this mess kicked it off for what the rest of our day was going to turn out to be.
Later on that day we had to run errands unfortunately where we had to go we couldn't walk or I probably wouldn't of been such a nervous nelly. I tell you what in our town we have construction that is going right down our main street and of course the idiots come out. We were right in the middle of that mess had the right away when a guy in a pickup decided he needed to barrel through a stop sign right between me and another car barely missing us and as I slammed on the brakes and prayed. We had another vehicle coming the opposite direction swerve to miss him almost hitting us in the front end and the guy behind me must of been texting because he came with in inches of slamming in the back of us. When all the vehicles came to stop I was totally amazed how close everyone was to us all the vehicles had stopped with in few inches of ours. Then I hear my daughter in the back holler....Hallelujah we are still alive and few seconds later I hear her pipe up saying...Oh my goodness we were almost smoothies just now. After crying/laughing and trying to collect myself, I should of turned around right then and there and high tailed it back home, but oh no I thought we are still in one piece and errands need to be done.
So continuing on we came upon two more accidents and decided after that we are heading home. Pulling into the driveway and thanking God we are still in one piece, k jumps out of the truck and starts coughing, gagging and saying it stinks out here. When I got out and started doing the same thing I thought Gas...hustling k inside and making sure the dogs where ok and finding out inside of house was alright. I started the hunt of what it could be when a neighbor from down the street showed up said, he called the firefighters. When the arrived they said it smelled like sewer gas and of course I am thinking oh great just what we needed. As they continued on they located the source of it, it was my neighbors and their stupidity that did it.
One of the firefighters pulled me aside as said, we came with in mere minutes of an explosion going off and you loosing your home. Sitting there digesting this information, he proceeded to tell me they hooked a charger to a battery and from that battery put jumper cables to another battery and on top of it was a towel. Now it hits me and off I went exploding with anger.....you see this truck that had this hook up on it was sitting with in 3 feet of my gas line. It has taken me a few days to look over all of this and start laughing at the redneck stuff they pulled, but reality has hit us hard 3 times in the last 4 weeks we have come within mere minutes of loosing our home and all 3 times I have come home with in minutes of it happening. Talk about God's perfect timing though honestly I do think I have had enough of this heart pounding excitement for the rest of the year.
