I know the title may of got you to stop and think WHAT in the WORLD? Well for starters I mention a while back that we have started renovations again and one of the rooms I have been working on is k's room. She wanted her room to be an underwater theme with fish, mermaids, shells, etc. So what crazy idea did we come up with, well since my mother had surgery and was laid up and needing to work on something. She created the fish, mermaids, turtles, etc out of contact paper. Mom took a coloring book traced the creatures onto the contact paper, colored and cut each one them out. Well this was great idea only one issue how to keep them sticking to plaster if it was drywall they stick great, but not plaster.
Well I do believe I have come up with a solution to that, Hairspray.
Yes, really Hair Spray, here I am, feeling like a gun slinger ready to do a shoot out with a wall. Strapped to one side of me is the hairspray and the other side is the hair dryer, I holler to k get ready to peel (yes you have to peel off paper, but you only have about a min to do it). I then Grab the hairspray, spray, fire up the hairdryer, k hands me the item and SLAP goes the picture on,grab the can of spray and shoot another coat on and then very carefully with end of your finger tap, tap, tap the parts not down to stay down.
Let me tell you after a bit you are feeling quit giddy from the spray and not only that your entire hands are rainbow colors and it then hits me Oh my goodness this is permanent marker. Well you can definitely say I get into my work. I am not finish by a long shot and will post pics when I am finished. I do believe this is turning out to be really cute and adorable girls room.
