What a day it was..my poor little gal is tired and a little bit stressed out here sitting in a Dr.'s office. Today we had to take my mother to her Dr.'s appointment in Greeley. I had this funny feeling and was woken up at least 3x during the night something was going to happen though it is one of those you couldn't put your finger on. The day started out alright and the roads where clear but just outside of Brush...OMG. I was passing a semi with a trailer attached to it. Looking in the rear mirror I see the wheels of the trailer getting bigger. Then my mother screams OH NO and I yelled to everyone HANG ON. What I was seeing on my right 3in of ice with only a few inches of road, a culvert and a guard rail and on my right a big rig heading our way. With a vice grip on the steering wheel, laying on the horn and gas and praying with a mere inches I was able to avoid another horrific car accident.
To this moment reliving it shakes me to the core, by the grace of God I was able to continue on our way. I hit Fort Morgan, yes I had to stop that coffee I had before I left hit me and it didn't help the scare I got just a few minutes before hand. I have to be honest with you all I wanted to do was cuddle my little k bug, cry and just go home, but it was one of those situations suck it up and keep going, so I did. The rest of the trip thank goodness it wasn't as exciting we got to do some shopping, eat and then k and I sat in the Dr.'s office waiting after 2hrs I can tell you we were started to get bored and started playing with camera, cutting coupons, and then playing dragons.
I do say we may of been the entertainment for everyone else in the waiting room though what can I say my job was to entertain a 6yr old and I am mom. :)
