Our family Adventure is a memory for life and we never know where we will end up at. Yesterday we ended up at the Denver Aquarium with Grandma and k's aunt and cousins. We all had a wonderful day there and lots of items to look at and fun things to do. When we first got there we lost the kids to the gigantic bubble machine. If you want to draw kids in just use this machine, I guarantee this will work.
When you walk in you have to make sure to look up not just right and left. We walked right under this tank of fish and got to watch them swim.
There was Lots of wonderful displays to entertain us and to watch.
We got to watch scuba divers swimming with the fish and feeding them.
We walked through a glass tunnel and watched sting rays and fish swim above us.
We got to watch Mermaids swim and even got a chance to take a picture with them and ask them questions.
Though one of K's favorite events for the day was the Sharks.
Story time: there was a window on the floor for viewing the sharks and k was standing on one of these windows when a shark swam under her. She turned around ran right into me and said, Don't move mom there is hole in the floor! I had to convince her that there wasn't a hole and it was there for a reason. After that k decided it was best to just to crawl on it and watch.
I really enjoyed the sharks because you were able to not only view them under your feet, but above you and beside you and sometimes they were up close and personal.
As we continued on we ended up face painting, yes even I got a tattoo-nemo is what k picked out for me. There was also coconut tree climbing, my nephew was the brave one on doing this and he made it all the way to the top.
We even got to pet and feed stingrays.
Story time: K was so focus on feeding her fish to them that she really wasn't paying attention and two stingrays I think decided to show off. So they made a huge splash and You guessed it. K got soaked and the look on her face was like OH my goodness, Why did u do that? There was a boy about 10 or 11 there who saw the whole thing happened was so gracious in getting k's fish back to her and then he decided to help her out. The whole entire time he was telling her what to do, giving her fish, pulling her out of the way when the stingrays wanted to splash or he would shield her. He must of loved the stingray because he was answering her questions right and left. Everything to what kind of skin they have, how big they got, etc.
The last two events we did was ride a train and then take a 4-D theater ride. This was a great experience for the both of us and I tell you I will jump at the chance to go back and do it all over again.
