Adventure to Pond-Time to reflect

As a mom I think we sometimes get caught up in all the schedules and life. Though step back and take time for a adventure it is a wonderful lesson and it makes it more special if it is a spur of the moment trip. Our little trip took us to the local pond and goodness what an adventure we had. I do believe God had this tripped planned for us.
Both k and peppie (little dog) got to run and they took off.  Peppie, the little dog took off and passed this fishermen 5 times in his run. The fisherman said, "He kind of got spooked and thought he was a skunk, because all he caught was a black streak flying past him." I am sure our little dog was saying FREEDOM.
As we started to explore I found that taking time to really appreciate the beauty of God gave me a deeper respect for him and How big he really is. A simple little cactus with a bloom, little fish even my daughter was intrigued by the beauty, she found a sunflower.

As I sat and reflect and explained the creation to k it reminded me of a passage from Song of Solomon 2:11-12 "For the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth the time of the singing of birds has come, and the voice of the doves is heard.  How true this was we just had a wonderful rain and everything smelled fresh, the new birds were playing and the plants were all blooming.
Let us not forget to stop for a minute to take time to reflect and enjoy the simplest item in life, the creation of God. It will amaze you what you may learn, I know it did for me and k.
