A peak into our World-Homeschool fun, live entertainment for the elderly

Well I do have to say when we work on school it is quit a hoot. Today was one of those days that I had to drop everything to run to the Dr.'s office for something I forgotten to do. Since I had to do that I had to improvise for school....Upon arriving at the Dr's office I was trying to figure out how k can work on the letter G. Then it hit me....

I saw this entire wall of notices, announcements, etc. So I grabbed k and then stood her in front of this wall and I told her she needed to find 5 big and little g's and show me where. Now mind u we weren't the only ones in this waiting room. There was 3 elderly ladies and one gentleman plus the nurses and receptionist....one elderly lady piped up I help u. I piped back no u won't, sorry.  They got the hint, but as soon as she found one and pointed it out a round applause's and Good job went around. After she did that I handed her a pen and paper to practice writing it.

That little gal will not forget what that letter looks like, I am sure of it because all the way home I heard her saying, "the big G is a C with a little t attached, the little g is a c with a j attached to it."

When we did make it back to the house this is what k created for a craft project which I found on pinterest.
Big g is a goat, little g is a goose....I think k did a good job on it. :)

She also works on Workbooks here is some of her work...
She had to color the frog green though she had to put a purple/blue belly on him...not all frogs I was told is one color of green. Below is some of her art work that she does and believe me she has a gift for it. :)

So in the midst of all this fun...we also went to the car wash which was the most entertaining of them all with k in the backseat trying to convince herself to be very brave. Though I do believe the highlight of our day is the show we did at the park today. Oh boy, was it a show.....

I thought I would take k and her bike and the dog for a walk around the park...Yeah let me just say k took off on her bike and the dog hit the payment running full steam ahead trying to keep up with k. About 1/2mi in I finally gave in and dropped his leash which mind you he picked up and bee lined after k and her bike.
There was lots of elderly people there and they decided that parking  on the bench and watching the show was more fun then walking.
So here is k on her bike with the dog full steam head running and holding his leash and then There is ME, yep that is sure a story in itself I am 89steps or more behind huffing, puffing and trying to gain more steam to catch up.
To make matters More interesting I hear all sorts of cheering, hooping and hollering going on. Cheers for the dog carrying his leash, some for the little gal on the bike and then I hear Oh look it is there mom and then I hear You go Mom, you rock.  Literally speaking at this point I don't know if I want to laugh, cry or just fall over, but I did make it to the truck and somehow got us all home safely though I tell you I really really need to figure out something to keep up cause I tell u after that I feel like the locomotive that hit the wall and got plastered in it. To make matters most interesting you think I wouldn't be such a dummy and wear the wrong clothes, but of course I sure did.  So I think I will be heading to the store to find something for running in.....LOL
