Sneak into our Studies-Our Bible Studies

Just a little bit of fun and to show you one of our studies that we are doing for K.

This is a little peek into our Bible Studies.
I normally pick a subject the night before that way I can find a simple Bible verse for her and then make the lessons from there. Hubby gets the fun of reading the verse and trying out the actions.

Lesson for today
The  10 plagues of Egypt.

verse for the day
God delivers and rescues, and he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth.
                        Daniel 6:27

Story for the day
   Exodus 7:14-11:10, 12:29-30
Of course we just read half the passages/highlights and we had actions with it.

So this is how our story went:
Moses, who had a walking staff, approached Pharaoh, a king, whose heart was hard (k interpretation didn't love Jesus) at the river bank.
Moses then asked Pharaoh, "Let my people Go" (raise your arm like your holding a staff)
Pharaoh, "NO" (shaking you finger)
Moses then raised his staff and struck the water  (use your hands to make like waves)  and the water  turns to Blood (I asked K where it came from which she pointed to boo boos) this is the first plague.

"Let My People Go" (raise your arm like your holding a staff)Pharaoh again says, "No" (shaking you finger)
again says, "No" (shaking you finger) Moses then raised his staff over the water and out came the frogs, this was the second plague (jump around like frogs)

Repeat first 2 sentences for the rest of the plagues
For flies (arms spread wide and swoop around)
For livestock (made sounds like sick animals)
For boils (acted like we were in pain)
For hail (we covered our heads)
For Locusts (we crumpled papers)
For Darkness (we shut the lights off for 2min)
For the death of first born (slice across the neck)

After the last plague
Moses, approached Pharaoh again asking, "Let My People Go" (raise your arm like your holding a staff)
Pharaoh says, "Yes, Go" (nod your head)
BUT Pharaoh decided to chase after them (have them run in place) BUT when Moses and the People got to the Nile River. God parted the river (put your hands together then move slowly apart) and the Moses and Israel made it safely across.

Other Activities
We also sang The Ten Plagues to the tune of this "Old Man"

I also found a coloring page, and a worksheet that asked questions and you had to circle the correct word that belong in there, which you can find here at free bible curriculum under the Old Testament.

We did read the story again this time I read it from a book called, "The Ten Icky Plagues by Susan Minton

We didn't get to a craft today though normally there is one thrown in there.
