Stockpiling, Savings on Clothing Part 2

So earlier I posted about how I saved on clothing, now you are probably wondering Where in world do we store it all.  Well, I am extremely blessed with the creativeness of family and myself, we have come up with some unique solutions to our storage issues, though it did take us about 3yrs to get where we are today.   First of all I have small house in square footage though 8ft ceilings and I have to think what can be used for double duty and not look cluttered. So I will give you a peek at my daughters closet. (by the way it isn't completely finish still need trim, door and paint :)
First of all since having this system my 4yr old is in charge of putting away her own clothes and no Mom doesn't go in to straighten it up, so I do apologize it is a little messy. :)

Below is her closet, the first thing I did was build a closet it had to be 4 feet in depth x 4 feet wide x 7 feet in height though we didn't build it up to the ceiling which I will show you why later on. :)
I used adjustable shelving which will grow with her.  This is a little bit more pricey in all I think I paid about $300.xx for this unit, but the cool thing is it isn't permanent and you can tweak to what you want it.
So on that note:
The very top shelf  has the following baskets and each one is labeled: Basket 1-blankets, Basket 2-sheets & pillowcases, and the last basket is extra little things I have bought for her, which may include gloves, belts, scarves, extra hair accessories, etc.

Second Shelve this is what you will find in these:  1-tote body wash, 2-tote shampoos & conditioners, 3-tote hair De-tangler & bubble bath, and last basket is bath accessories like scrubbies, washcloths, etc.

The last shelf is still work in progress, when I put in the shelving I found more room then I thought I had...so right now that shelf is catch all for give away items or in green box extra hangers.

The picture below is the bottom part of her closet.
On the left side she has 3 shelves
She has it sorted this way 1 shelf-long sleeve shirts, 2 shelf-short sleeve shirts, 3 shelf-extra pants
She has 4 drawers and on the very top drawer there is a shelf that she can use and place clothes on it if she wants to. Then on the far right obviously is the hanging rod.

Now on to What I love the most about this closet that is the very top, there is about 1 foot of head space above that closet. This top shelf extends all the way above the door. Below is what is on the left side of the door.  I truly love this because I am able to store 11 tubs which you can snag these at Walmart for about $5ea.
Each tub is labeled by size first then by item for example the label would read Size 7/8 pants & jeans, etc. The reason why I chose clear is because I can see with out yanking it down what I need to get for my daughter in that size. These tubs are then lined up above the door.
As you move to the right of the picture you see the red tubs, there is 4 of them Tub 1 has kids bath bars or color tablets in it, Tub 2 has flushable wipes, Tub 3 has underwear, Tub 4 has shoes as she gets bigger I have two tubs to hold shoes or I can just stack the boxes they come in the back.
Next to the red tubs I have a basket this holds baby items like powders, oil, shampoo, etc. Behind that I have squirreled away 4pkge of diapers and some diaper wipes.  This is great to have on hand especially when I have baby showers to go too or sometimes out of the blue I may need one of these items.

Now moving to the left of the door. This is how the tubs are lined up and underneath it we have a shelf which holds electronics, this is held up by a floor to ceiling bookshelf though "OMG" I need to straighten it before I snap a picture of it...LOL.  Well anyhoo on the shelf left of the stero we have a 2 cubby shelf .  The top part of this shelf I store her sunscreen and lotions in, then in the bottom shelf it  fits a plastic 3 drawer unit in this I store her hair accessories that we use everyday.  Underneath the shelf I installed a peg board which she can hang her coats and hats on it.  There is a basket on this peg board in winter she uses this to store her gloves and scarves in or little stuff she needs everyday.   So watch Later I will give you a sneak preview of other areas of storage :)
