Since space is limited in our truck. I had k's tray built specifically for her car seat. This seat does recline so the tray is secured even when she reclines. Thanks to both of my parents for putting this together. Can't tell she is excited :)
The tray was made from a piece of scrap board that was laying around, below is the pattern.
The bottom picture is what the top looks like. Yep the cup holder is a flower pot, why it has a lip on it to hold it in place and was measured to fit the cup we are taking on the trip. My mother took pipe foam and covered the edge with it and then wrapped it with fabric.
The top was painted with magnetic paint and then white paint, yes that is magnetic paper dolls will tell you about them later. :)
Below is what the bottom looks like it is covered in fabric.
The straps are taken off of a bag and Velcro is placed on the back side of it a screw and nut holds the strap in place. The flat side of the screw is on top and now this strap can be wrapped around the arm rest of the car seat to hold it in place.
