Stockpiling & Freezing Yogurt & recipe

Since I buy mostly marked down items for dairy and produce. I thought I would share with you some of the things that I have learned along the way not only do we save money though we save space as well. I will admit it does help having 3 freezers ;) though I use every nook and corner there is. So on that note.
First item Yogurt
  •  I get most of my yogurt from Sunmart,
    • Wednesdays is marked down day on dairy items, all the items will have a orange sticker on them.
  • You can use manufacture coupons on these items making some pretty sweet deals.
  • Stack with sales and you end up with $.10-$.25 yogurt cups
  1. Once I lay out all the yogurt and divide them into like items.
  2.  My 4yr old and I start opening and scopping out the yogurt into ice trays.
    •  6 squares=1 individual container of yogurt.
  3. We then label the tray with painters tape
    • why-it is easy to peel off and not only that we can then slap it onto the bag after they are frozen. Once bag is empty then peel tape and hang onto the bag. Below is what it looks like
  4. Once they are frozen we pop them out and place into a freezer quart bag.
    • 1 bag=2 individual cups of yogurt
  5. These are easy and compact enough to slide into the door of a freezer.

So there is several Wonderful factors of having yogurt like this, not only do you have just about every kind there is on the market though having it done this way makes Wonderful Things...from smoothies to meals. Here is one of our recipes we like to use, which I got from yoplait site

In ungreased 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish, layer sweet potato slices. Place pork chops over potatoes.

In same skillet, cook orange juice and brown sugar over medium heat until brown sugar is melted; pour over pork and potatoes. Cover dish tightly with foil.
