Review-Standard Deviants Accelerate

logo

We were able to review a program called Standard Deviants Accelerate and was given a year to try out this program.  Standard Deviants Accelerate is an online educational teaching tool for students and homeschoolers and geared more towards 3rd grade and up.

Homeschoolers may purchase a course to use for one student for $99.00 per year, or $24.95 per month. If you are interested in High School Accelerated learning – then you may be interested in the AP classes which are available for $14.95 per student per month.

This took me a bit to figure out how to do though once you figure it out you feel dumb afterwards of how simple it is to do and goodness realizing that  the classes are pretty much self propelled and simple to work through makes it a whole lot easier. Subjects that you will see in this program is Mathematics, Science, History which these are broken down further into smaller sections like History:  American Presidents, Woman movements, etc. this goes for each category.  I do like that they are up front saying there is common core and evolution taught with this program it makes you more aware and prepare for what will be coming through.

Like I said before these classes are pretty much self propelled and not many questions don't go unanswer.  Inside of these classes You will find Video, Vocabulary, Diagram, Quiz and a Written Answer on. On the video, a transcript is available to print, and/or you may scroll along on the left. The self led student is able to scroll through the screens clicking the tabs at the bottom, or jumping around the tabs to the different activities on top.  I do have to say this program is quit comprehensive and makes the student do deep thinking which is really nice to see and making a great conversation between my child and me.

This maybe one program to dig into a little deeper and continue especially to prepare for higher education and who knows what you may learn with them along the way.
