YEAH, Story time...
Well this week was a riot of all sorts in my house. Well I did have a plan just like a little squirrel getting ready for winter instead it ended up like a monkey all crazy and swinging from the rafters.
My whole plan was to paint the deck, clean k room, grout window sill, clean porch closet, puddy a desk, take k to library and this is what happened....
Monday-ran errands, phone calls
Tuesday-internet was rerouted and new cables installed, had to go to a picnic for k she accomplishing her reading program
Wednesday-pulled thorns out of yard, fixed a swing set, fixed a patio table, went to library
Thursday-cleaned k room and sorted her clothes and did inventory (my sis was coming up and way to get rid of clothes she outgrew), cleaned a porch, living room, and bedroom and did a little bit of shopping
Friday-watched my nephew (4yr old) and neice (2yr old) along with my 3yr old, then my dad came over looking for boards in my 3 car garage instead we ended up cleaning it out and had an on the spot yard sale and gee was it filthy my bathroom was black when I cleaned up and yep, so at 11pm I was cleaning a bathroom.
After coming in from garage/yard sale...k wanted to cuddle and when she came over to me this is what I got
k-mommy u stink, no really stink and you have black feet, you need to get bath, then I cuddle
Saturday-still doing yard sale, neighbor came over for a certain tea which we couldn't find and ended up cleaning all the kitchen cabinets, then I had a friend come over needing clothes and ended up cleaning my closet. We also had the tree guy show up to give us a bid on our trees.
K was my best sales person for the yard sale after watching us this is what we had.
k leaning on a tub of christmas trees...Hey you, yea you, I talking to you I got a christmas tree mommy told me $5.00 but u I give for $3..you take it. Boy did she rake in the $$ I don't think anyone left this sale without something in hand
Sunday-we had cowboy church which k was so focused on the cowboy preacher that she didn't want to leave. Then we went to our regular church services which ran really late, today...later on I ran some stuff to my dad and then hubby and I rearrange some of the stuff in garage, moved our bed around in our bedroom, started to dismantle a desk.
and you know the kicker of the whole thing my deck is still NOT painted and only 2 things on my list got done...though I gained $$ in my pocket, a daughter who is great salesgal and 4 clean rooms, a clean garage, a clean closet and clean cabinets. My only request is that no one shows up for 2 days ;)
How many of you have started out with a plan and instead ended up swinging from the rafters. I am so thankful I don't have a whole lot of weeks like this cause it just seems that we miss the tiniest miracle in the midst of it all. Here I was so busy that I missed the little caterpillar that was found, the crash that she had on her trike and the performance afterwards, the moment where she sat right in middle of sidewalk looking at a book she found, the rainbow that formed in the sky and so much more that I found out later.
This week I think is a week to take time slow down a little knock some things out of the schedule and just enjoy the blessings that can be found around us.
