Well for my family we take advantages of the restraunts e-mail newsletters, mailing list, deals of the day, etc. Here is a break down of the local restraunts that are on going right now.
Sonic-1/2 price on drinks between 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
Arby's-1/2 price on drinks between 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Mcdonald's-buy one get one fruit smoothie coupon
Subway-$5.00 sub's on Wednesdays
Dairy Queen
-send out buy one get one blizzards coupons by e-mail, will send one out on your birthday
-we have all 3 of us register for this in the birthday club

Pizza Hut
KFC/long john silver
Quizno's
Local Restraunts-they have daily specials though if you call in advance and say you have a party of .... and you like to reserve, some are likely to give you another discount.
Also friend these on twitter and facebook...we have gotten a lot of hot deals by doing this.
